Who needs Pediatric Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is beneficial for children who have suffered an injury, have undergone surgery, have a congenital condition or have developmental delays.
Therapy South offers physical therapy for kids with a variety of needs. Our physical therapists assess joint range of motion, muscle power, neurological function, motor control and posture. Our goal is to improve a child’s balance, coordination, strength and endurance to participate in play.
Why is Physical Therapy important?
It's simple. Movement carries us to learning. Learning leads us to growth. The physical therapists at Therapy South focus on your child’s ability to participate in movement activities such as crawling, walking, running, playing games, as well as participating in sports. Additionally, we support children who rely on mobility devices learn to navigate safely in various environments.
How long will my child need Physical therapy?
Every child is different and as such, we treat each client like an individual. Depending on each client's situation, some children will only need to see us a short amount of time. For children with more complex needs, physical therapy may require more time and frequency.
