Physical Therapy

pediatric

We use games and movement activities that keep children engaged while strengthening muscles and coordination.

Building Strength Through Play

01

Therapy targets the foundational motor skills that help children sit, stand, and move with stability and confidence.

Supporting Balance & Posture

02

From walking and running to jumping and climbing, we help children build the skills that support active, joyful participation in everyday life.

Encouraging Independence in Movement

03

If your child experiences delays in motor milestones, challenges with balance or coordination, or difficulty keeping up with peers during play, physical therapy may be the right next step. Our therapists work closely with families to support each child’s development in a way that’s both fun and functional.

Is Physical Therapy Right for Your Child?

We work closely with parents to provide strategies and exercises for continued progress at home, empowering your family to support your child’s movement goals every day.

Each session blends play, functional movement, and age-appropriate strengthening to help your child build confidence and coordination.

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your child’s current movement patterns, strength, and goals. Together, we create a plan that supports both developmental progress and family priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my child needs PT?

If you’re here, chances are something isn’t feeling quite right—whether it’s gross motor skills, balance, coordination, or movement challenges making daily life harder than it should be. If you’re unsure, that’s okay! We’ll guide you through an evaluation to determine if PT is the right fit.

What happens during an evaluation?

The evaluation is our chance to get to know your child, their strengths, and their challenges. We’ll ask you questions about daily movement, observe your child’s mobility and coordination, and do structured activities to assess their needs.

What does an PT session look like?

Every session is tailored to your child’s unique needs, but it might include:

✔ Strength and endurance activities
✔ Balance and coordination exercises
✔ Core strengthening
✔ Functional movement practice

Most importantly, it’s fun! Therapy doesn’t feel like work—it feels like play, but with a purpose.

How often will my child need PT?

This depends on your child’s needs. Some children benefit from weekly sessions, while others may come twice a week or less frequently as they gain independence. We’ll create a plan that makes sense for your family.

Do I need to be in the sessions?

Your level of involvement depends on what works best for you. Some parents love to be hands-on and ask lots of questions. Others have packed schedules and need practical takeaways. Either way, we’ll meet you where you are—but the more involved you are, the more we can help you integrate skills at home.

How long does therapy last? When will my child be discharged?

Our goal is always progress and independence, not just keeping kids in therapy forever. We’ll talk about discharge from the first session so you have a clear idea of long-term goals. Every child’s timeline is different, but we’ll continuously assess progress and adjust accordingly.

What if I don’t think my child needs PT?

If you’re feeling skeptical, we get it. Not every child needs therapy, and if we determine that your child is on track, we’ll tell you that. But if there are skills that could help them long-term, we’ll explain why—without pressure, just facts.

Will my insurance cover PT?

Coverage depends on your plan. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your benefits. If you need help navigating this, our team is happy to assist!
